...Final Photos from Fashion Show...

...Free Range, London 2012...

...Being part of such an amazing event was incredibly exciting. Working so hard for three years and then seeing your best, final pieces being worn in such a professional environment is fantastic! As seen within previous posts, this nine week project has grown and developed so much! It all began with inspiration taken from 'Gloucester Cathedral'...

...drawings and ideas for textiles began to develop...leading to three final garments...

...as a fashion/textile designer, making the choice to go to Free Range in Brick Lane, London was hard as I knew that my textile samples had to be the most important and stand out hugely but now seeing the final result down the catwalk has re-assured my decision as my textiles have been showcased in the perfect way!

...here are the final photos of my final garments...
...the first dress does contain colour with silver, grey and blue tones and is tacked in certain places to create pockets for the hand sewn florals to sit inside. The puff ball dress was the last to construct and also contains a delicate screen print design over the bust...
...along with the dress, a larger top hat with veil is used to style the bridal feel...

...Grey Dress (Connie) ...

....the second dress is Ivory colour base, polyester satin but feels beautiful and has an organsa top. The flowers are covering the gathered left hand side of the dress and are all hand made in various fabrics...

...Here, you can view the largest dress which has the most detail n terms of manipulation. Again, this dress contains a subtle screen print above the bust and has its veil attached to the dress from the center back, with dyed, small flowers hand sewn to it and finished with a small bead. You can see the hundreds of laser cut floral manipulations that flow over the dress, hiding the cage underneath...

...I would like to thank everyone who helped me achieve this collection. From the dedicated tutors, technical demonstrators, organizers, dressers, models, photographers and everyone else who made it possible. A special thanks to the technical demonstrators at uni and my close family and friends, who have helped hugely!
